Unlock_Indy!

Thank you to everyone who made the Unlock_Indy charity benefit possible and successful. Thanks to everyone who donated and thanks to everyone who contributed. I can't wait to start working on the next event.

I have one special prize that I wasn't able to give away because the person who has it didn't make it. When I get that it will go to Nathan for driving up from B-town with a metric ton of great lock stuff. Everyone loved your combo locks and the Abloy gear and the FOOLS prizes you brought (beer picks!) were great.

Thanks to Andrew K. (sorry you couldn't make it) and Andrew A. (new nickname: Cuffs McGee) for helping us get the space at IUPUI. This saved us from having to spend money on a venue. It is very difficult to find a space like that for free - thanks a lot for helping us out.

Phil F. deserves a lot of credit for setting up the contest and kicking in a lot of cash for prizes. He was there even though he was feeling terrible and made it a lot of fun for everyone that participated. Thanks a ton Phil - I hope you get better soon.

I would also like to thank Brad from Fishnet Security for coming through for us again to feed everyone.

I would especially like to thank Steve Moore for starting what I hope will become an annual event. And thanks for kicking off IndySec - it has been great to be a part of for the last several years.

See you next month at IndySec.

-Brian

  1. Brian, can you post a link to the source of the kits you have for sale? You ran out of the $25.00 kit before I could get one and it looked pretty good for the price.

    Thanks

  2. @John - I don't think you'll be able to find them at that price again. I got them from ebay (you're not supposed to sell picks on ebay). They're $32 from http://www.dealextreme.com/p/high-quality-klom-31-piece-set-hook-lock-picks-16416. They're made by a company called Klom.
